Diversity in Digital Leadership Initiative Reconvenes in Edinburgh

The latest cohort of the “Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation” initiative have reconvened in Edinburgh for the final two-day workshop of the Autumn Programme.

The cross-industry “Empowering…” initiative, which launched earlier this year and is supported by industry body ScotlandIS, The Scottish Government’s Digital Directorate and the Scottish Digital Academy, aims to build a collaborative and powerful community of emerging women leaders in digital transformation roles across all industry sectors. The 3-month Programme is free of charge to participants, with funding provided from industry partners including The Data Lab, Head Resourcing, Scott Logic and Sopra Steria.

This latest gathering runs from the 8th to the 9th of November and is a key opportunity for the group to develop their skills, networks and to work on their collective solutions to the  “Challenges” that have been identified for the cohort to tackle as part of the Programme.

The group will also be hearing from a number of guest speakers from across government and industry who will share their own personal leadership journeys, with the first of these being Cat Koris, Principle Consultant for software engineering and digital transformation specialists Scott Logic.

Commenting on Scott Logic’s support for the Programme, Ms Koris said, “Scott Logic is committed to Scotland and to diversity in the workplace.  We’re delighted to be sponsoring and participating in Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation, a bold and innovative programme, which will boost essential skills and capability throughout the country. As a purpose-driven technology consultancy at the forefront of change, we welcome the opportunity to support the development of a cohort of women leaders who will drive the rapidly expanding digital economy.”

The Autumn cohort runs from September to November, with a joint graduation and Challenge presentation taking place at Our Dynamic Earth on the 2nd of December and further cohorts scheduled to run in Spring and Autumn of 2022.
